Evaluation Board ARX3A0CSSC28SMKAH3-GEVB

23/10/2023

The Evaluation Board ARX3A0CSSC28SMKAH3-GEVB is a powerful tool for developers and engineers who are working on projects that require high-performance microcontrollers. This board is designed to evaluate the capabilities of the ARX3A0CSSC28SMKAH3 microcontroller.

The purpose of the evaluation boards is to showcase the capabilities of ON Semiconductor's image sensor products. Specifically, this headboard is designed to be directly connected to the Demo3 system. The board includes test points and jumpers that allow access to the clock, I/Os, and other miscellaneous signals.

This device has the following features:
- Clock input, with a default 27 MHz crystal oscillator and an optional Demo3 controlled MClk.
- Two-wire serial interface, with a selectable base address.
- 2-lane MIPI interface.
- Compliant with the RoHS directive.

Jumper/Header Functions & Default Positions

Jumper/Header Functions

The headboard jumpers begin with Pin 1 positioned on the leftmost side, and subsequent jumpers in a group have larger pins than the previous ones.

Connecting to the ON Semiconductor Demo3 Baseboard involves using the 52-pin connector P5, which is similar to J1 on the headboard. The baseboard and headboard can be secured together using spacers and screws through the four mounting holes. To measure power, shorted jumpers are available on the evaluation board for different voltage levels. To measure current on a specific power rail, the trace between the two pins of their respective JP must be cut and an ammeter inserted before powering up the system. The location of the trace to be cut is shown in the figure below.
