Semiconductor Sales Surge to $46.2 Billion in February 2024

In February, semiconductor sales reached $46.2 billion, marking a significant increase of 16.3% compared to February 2023's total of $39.7 billion. However, there was a slight decline of 3.1% from January's sales of $47.6 billion, as reported by the Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA).

On a regional level, year-over-year sales saw growth in China by 28.8%, the Americas by 22.0%, and Asia Pacific/All other regions by 15.4%. Conversely, sales declined in Europe by -3.4% and in Japan by -8.5% during this period.

Looking at the month-to-month comparison, all markets experienced a decrease in sales in February. Sales fell in Asia Pacific/All Other by -1.3%, in Europe by -2.3%, in Japan by -2.5%, in the Americas by -3.9%, and in China by -4.3%. The semiconductor industry continues to navigate through fluctuations in sales across different regions, with both year-over-year and month-to-month variations observed in February.
